Yup, there is. WARNING: For those not familiar with digital coloring in Photoshop, this will make very little sense. You might find some references here though:
First I separate my line work from the background in layers. I color the background. Once it’s completely colored, I add a new layer with the snow pattern. Then, I just capture the outline of the snow and delete it. That just leaves the outline. With that outline still flashing, I switch over to my colored background layer, play with the Brightness/Contrast levels and Voilà. Does that help or confuse?
Probably easier to show you with images, but I’m too swamped to do it right now. Sorry.
