I’ve been enjoying your comic for the last couple of weeks… I really love the art in it. That brings me to a question – what do you use to draw it? That is, what software/hardware? Do you do it with pen and paper first or is it all digital? Everything is so crisp and clean – I’d love to learn how you do it.
I currently use Staedler pigment liners on Strathmore art board. Then I scan in the inks. All the clean-up and coloring happens in Photoshop, but I letter in illustrator. Pretty standard, right? You see crisp and clean, but I see inconsistencies. In fact, I’ve got my eye on the Wacom Cintiq. Too bad it’s so darn expensive.
That’s crazy – I totally thought you did this mostly digital. I have a wacom tablet, but I’m horrible at drawing characters with it. I can do landscapes and stuff, but not people. I actually use the same basic equipment for my comics – sigma pens, mechanical and art pencils, and bristol board. Then I scan it in and touch it up/add color in photoshop, plus I add my text there. Well, actually I put text on the hard copy, but I suck at making straight text by hand, so I erase it in photoshop and put in my own font. I guess I just gotta work at my art!
LOL!

Thanks for the kind words, L.

What are you using for Seth and Buddy?
