Not that I am complaining (anything but!), but what gives? Extra comics? You bored? ;)

I’m glad you asked! Notice how, each day, the backgrounds get progressively darker? Well, I wanted to move from day to night in this scene and I felt it wouldn’t really translate if spread out over a few weeks.

Mark you really crack me up with this strip!

Just a bit of cocktail knowledge, but Moose Mountain is the Canadian Rockies eastern-slope peak that was the setting for the movie Brokeback Mountain.

    Just sayin’…

I’m a new reader. I only read those last strips and I love them. I’ll read the rest of the site pretty soon. The bear character is so funny and cute at the same time. Great design !

Thanks Morin! I appreciate the kind words. You too, Vince! Thanks.

And Rocky, you beat me to the punch. I had planned to eventually name all the different places that use the name Moose Mountain. Like the mountain in Fairbanks, Alaska. Or Big Moose Mountain in Piscataquis County, Maine. Moose Mountain Falls is the name of lodge and waterpark in Lake Geneva, WI.

Seemed like a good name for my fictitious park too. It’s not only an evocative name, it’s just sounds…fun. Did you know it’s also the name of a toy company?

Are there any other places, things, organizations, whatever named Moose Mountain? If you folks know of any, let me know.

There is a Moose Mountain in Hanover New Hampshire along the Appalachian Trail:

There is also a Moose Mountain Lodge in Etna NH.
